561. India unveils DHRUV64, its first indigenous 64-bit dual-core microprocessor
- On 15 December 2025, India unveiled DHRUV64, the country’s first fully indigenous 1.0 GHz, 64-bit dual-core microprocessor, developed by C-DAC under the Microprocessor Development Programme, aligned with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
- DHRUV64 was designed for modern and high-growth applications such as 5G infrastructure, automotive electronics, IoT, industrial automation and consumer devices, offering higher efficiency, reliability and seamless hardware integration while reducing dependence on imported chips.
- The processor strengthened India’s strategic, R&D and startup ecosystem, builds on earlier indigenous chips like SHAKTI and THEJAS, and advances the Digital India RISC-V (DIR-V) Programme, positioning India as an emerging global hub for chip design and electronics manufacturing.
562. Mizoram gets its first rail-carried cars; 119 cars reach Sairang by rail
- On December 15,2025,Sairang Railway Station in Mizoram handled its first-ever direct automobile rake, transporting 119 cars from Changsari near Guwahati, reducing reliance on long-distance road transport.
- The 51.38 km Bairabi–Sairang railway line, featuring 45 tunnels, was inaugurated on September 13 and has fully integrated Mizoram into India’s national rail network.
- The Railway line has shown strong passenger and freight usage, with high train occupancy and movement of goods such as cement, automobiles, and agricultural products, supporting regional economic growth.
563. India’s total exports rise 15.5 pc at $73.99 billion in Nov, cross $562 billion in April-Nov
- India’s total exports (merchandise and services) for November 2025 saw an impressive 15.52 % (year-on-year) growth at $73.99 billion, government data showed on 15 December 2025.
- The cumulative exports (merchandise and services) during the April-November 2025 period this fiscal were estimated at $562.13 billion, a growth of 5.43 per cent compared to $533.16 billion in April-November 2024, the Commerce Ministry data showed.
- During April–November 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, merchandise exports grew by 2.62%; non-petroleum exports by 5.86%; engineering goods by 23.76%; electronic goods by 38.96%; gems and jewellery by 27.80%; drugs and pharmaceuticals by 20.91%; and petroleum products by 11.65%.

564. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Lays Foundation Stone for 1,450-Bed State-of-the-Art MY Hospital in Indore
- On December, 14 2025, the foundation stone for a new 1,450-bed state-of-the-art building of Maharaja Yashwantrao (MY) Hospital was laid in Indore, marking a major expansion of healthcare infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
- Chief Minister of MP attended the bhoomi pujan ceremony, stating the project would strengthen healthcare through integrated Health and Medical Education departments, high-quality construction standards, and advanced facilities benefiting Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states.
- Built at ₹773.07 crore, the project included department-wise beds, emergency services, a nursing hostel, auditorium, parking, solar power, and utilities, aiming to boost Indore’s capacity as a regional medical hub with free transplants already provided.
565. SJVN Green Energy Achieves Major Milestone at 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project with Fresh 100 MW Commissioning
- On December 15,2025,SJVN Green Energy Ltd has commissioned an additional 100 MW at its 1,000 MW Bikaner solar project, taking the total operational capacity to about 830.7 MW in Rajasthan.
- Bikaner solar project is being developed under MNRE’s CPSU Scheme Phase-II (Tranche-III) in Domestic Content Requirement mode, supporting India’s renewable energy and Make in India goals.
- The solar project will supply power to Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand and contribute to India’s target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
566. Health ATMs launched along seven BSF border outposts in Jaisalmer
- On December 12 ,2025, in Jaisalmer Health ATMs were launched for the first time along seven BSF border outposts along the India-Pakistan international border adjoining Jaisalmer.
- The inauguration of health ATM facilities at BSF Sector was done by Inspector General of Rajasthan Frontier, ML Garg. He stated that with the start of the health ATM, a new chapter of health security has begun for personnel deployed in border areas and will bring significant improvement in health outcomes of people living in these areas.
- Health ATM machines More than 50 diagnostic tests can be performed in this machine which includes height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), vision test, blood pressure (BP), haemoglobin, ECG, blood sugar (RBS), HbA1C, lipid profile, SPO2, body temperature, body fat analysis, and urine and basic blood parameters. The health report will be available in 15 minutes.
567. Cabinet Approves Bill To Raise Foreign Direct Investment In Insurance Sector To 100%
- On December 13, 2025 ,the Union Cabinet has approved the Insurance Laws Amendment Bill, 2025, proposing to raise FDI in the insurance sector from 74% to 100%.
- The Bill amends the Insurance Act, 1938, LIC Act, 1956, and IRDAI Act, 1999, and requires at least one top management official to be an Indian citizen.
- The proposed amendment primarily focuses on promoting policyholders' interests, enhancing their financial security, and facilitating the entry of additional players into the insurance market, thereby driving economic growth and employment generation.So far, the insurance sector has attracted Rs 82,000 crore through foreign direct investment (FDI).

568. Northeast Frontier Railway strengthens educational infrastructure across its jurisdiction
- On December 14 ,2025,The General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway laid the foundation stone for a new double-storey building with 20 additional rooms at Netaji Vidyapith Railway Higher Secondary School, Maligaon Assam.
- NFR is upgrading school infrastructure with facilities such as laboratories, smart classrooms, digital libraries, modern furniture, CCTV systems, upgraded computer labs, RO water units and improved sanitation.
- Railway schools across the NFR zone, including Maligaon, Dimapur, Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Lumding and Badarpur, are undergoing renovation, repair and infrastructure development to enhance learning environments.
569. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates development works worth ₹249 crore in Surat
- On December 14, 2025, under Urban Development Year 2025, Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth over 249 crore involving Surat Municipal Corporation, SUDA, and URDCL.
- Key projects such as the Outer Ring Road Phase-2, flyovers, water and sewage treatment plants, drainage systems, health centres, and fire stations will ease traffic congestion and significantly enhance urban living standards.
- The launch of a WhatsApp-based online payment system supports the Digital India mission, while initiatives like tree plantation, rainwater harvesting, and cleanliness drives promote sustainable and citizen-centric development.

570. Indian Railways records surge in LHB coach production, manufactures over 42,600 coaches in 11 years
- On December 14, 2025, It was reported that, During FY 2025–26, up to November 2025, Indian Railways manufactured 4,224 LHB coaches across its production units, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period last year.
- Indian Railways achieved this growth through improved production planning and capacity at ICF Chennai, RCF Kapurthala, and MCF Raebareli, collectively boosting output of modern LHB passenger coaches.
- From 2014–2025, over 42,600 LHB coaches were produced—18 times higher than 2004–2014—supporting safer, smoother travel, lower maintenance, replacement of old coaches, and Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India objectives.
